The OTA Insight dashboard provides rate intelligence for hotels to increase their revenue by optimising the pricing of the rooms on various channels for various length of stays. OTA Insight is on a mission to help the hospitality industry visualise and leverage data. The role we’re looking to fill is a great opportunity for someone passionate about both this mission and content writing, who wants to join a dynamic and fast-growing scale-up in London.
Content underpins all of our marketing efforts and we’re ramping up the production of it to help address our increasingly ambitious commercial goals As a Junior Content Writer, you’ll tell the stories of OTA Insight empowers hotelier’s with our commercial platform - then examine how the content you’ve produced engages leads and shapes OTA Insights’ reputation as a thought leader.
Reporting to the PR & Content Marketing Manager, your work will focus on creating and editing written content relevant to hotel revenue, marketing and distribution managers around the world. This content broadly falls into two categories: material that directly talks about OTA Insight and its products; and material that discusses issues that are relevant to our market, which our products overlap with but to which we limit direct references.
You will be involved with both types but the emphasis will be on the latter, which includes blog posts (written with SEO keywords in mind) and thought leadership (third-party pieces and eBooks etc).
Help with the creation of original or repurposed written material (such as blog posts, eBooks, whitepapers and articles, email marketing, video content and podcasts, …)
Proactively find opportunities to improve our existing content and find areas where new content can be added
Research, outline and generate ideas for long-form content
Ensure all content is optimised for SEO
Create and update buyer personas in line with business objectives and product developments
Use HubSpot (or wordpress) to help build our content-supporting frameworks and add material to our website
Collaborate within the marketing team and cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders
Partner with colleagues across different departments such as product and data science to ensure our content is aligned to wider business objectives, or the design team
Assist in the development of the content calendar
Organise the translation of content for various international markets
The ideal candidate has a degree and two years’ experience in journalism, communications or a similar field of expertise
Experience in hospitality, SaaS company or a B2B online platform is a plus
Creative and passionate about language, able to express complex ideas in a direct and engaging way
Knowledge of or experience with SEO
Ability to repurpose and build content using strong copy editing and writing skills, and brief designers, copywriters and third-party agencies
Pragmatic self-starter; you can juggle multiple projects and efficiently drive a collaborative process
You have an enquiring mind, are curious and structured
English as your native language is a must have
