Regional Business Development Manager - Revenue Insight (APAC)

OTA Insight is a Revenue Management Intelligence Provider for the hospitality business (our clients are individual hotels and major chains like Hilton, Accor, … ). OTA Insight is an online dashboard solution (SaaS) providing rate intelligence for the hotels to increase their revenue by optimizing their pricing. For this position we're looking for someone who has extensive knowledge on different RMS & PMS. You’ll play an important role in the global roll-out of Revenue Insight and will be involved in developing the go-to-market strategy for your region.


As this is an experienced position, you will be given a great deal of autonomy to organise your own diary. There is a collaborative effort within the entire organisation as well as a focus on the APAC region. You will be working alongside the Sales and Marketing Team and will be reporting to a Regional Sales Director. This position is a multifaceted player/coach position. You will have both an external customer facing role and you will coach, mentor and lead a small team of specialists. Over time you will become an internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) position when it comes to promoting, selling and consulting stakeholders on Revenue. As an internal SME, you will collaborate with our Sales Enablement Manager to define training best practices and new products and updates are being communicated correctly to the sales reps.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of specialists focused on delivering 80% of our Revenue Insight regional targets
  • You will coach and teach the Revenue Insight specialist team how to close key deals that drive our revenue by sharing best practices and showcasing best in class sales tactics
  • You will also manage a small group of key accounts and carry a portion of direct quota for selling into those groups.
  • A hyper focus will be placed on upgrading existing clients with qualifying PMS integrations, working closely with the Account Management team to ensure optimal coverage
  • You will act as an advisor in the preparation of presentations or sales pitches about the products or services with all their values for the usage of the sales department
  • You and your team will support demand generating activities like trade shows, company events or customer workshops. Always be present as a domain expert for our customer and to set the team members up for success
  • To succeed, you work closely together with your colleagues of the business development team, marketing, service delivery and product team

Requirements


  • An ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, Communication, Finance, Economics or other relevant field

  • You have 3+ years relevant experience in business development in the hospitality business

  • Relevant experience in revenue management is a plus

  • Is able to lead meeting with C-levels of global chains and to present at conferences

  • Strong knowledge of different Hotel PMS & RMS software

  • You are fluent in English writing & speaking

  • You have experience with CRM systems and related sales tools

  • You have a strong revenue management background and profound understanding of BI / SaaS Solutions

  • Of course you have excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrates a high level of diplomacy

  • Able to perform under pressure

  • Strong entrepreneurial skills to excel in a complex and rapidly evolving environment
