TechOps Team Lead

OTA Insight is a Revenue Management Intelligence Provider for the hospitality industry (our clients are individual hotels and major chains like Hilton, Accor, … ). OTA Insight dashboard provides rate intelligence for the hotels to increase their revenue by optimising the pricing of the rooms on various channels for various length of stays. We combine cutting edge technology and data analytics to provide business intelligence driving revenue management processes to maximise occupancy and rates for incremental revenues.

 

Today OTA Insight is present in more than 168 countries around the world and works with more than 50,000 independent, local and global chain properties.

  

We're looking for a TechOps Team Lead who wants to help us build the foundations of TechOps at OTA Insight. The focus of this team is twofold: firstly on automating processes that are currently done manually, secondly on fulfilling enterprise customer requirements e.g. scoping and automating client-specific reporting. We want to scale in the most efficient way possible and that’s where the TechOps team will play an important role.



In this role you will:


  • Design and hands-on develop improvements and automations in our internal configuration system to reduce manual operations in the wider organisation
  • Act as a Product Owner for our internal configuration system by capturing needs from internal teams; helping to define, optimize and document operational processes; as well as maintaining an internal development roadmap
  • Project-manage and together with the team fulfill unique enterprise client requirements, e.g. reporting that's outside of BI product's scope. You'll be assisting the scoping of these requirements together with our product team.
  • Provide day to day support to our operational teams
  • Work with a small team around you to support the team’s goals
  • Helping to build this team out as you will be starting off this team by yourself
  • Collaborate within the engineering team to ensure that all solutions (whether build/buy) satisfy organisational quality standards (e.g. secure, cloud-ready, Continuous Delivery friendly, etc)
  • Report to the Director of Engineering


    Requirements

    • You have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related fields;
    • You have strong and hands-on experience in software development. Knowledge of Python and Django is a definitive plus
    • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate problem statements to a business case.
    • You have proven experience in Project and Team Management.
    • Great communication skills, both technical and non-technical parties. With offices and colleagues all over the world, being able to word issues in an approachable way is increasingly important.
