OTA Insight is a commercial platform for the hospitality industry (our clients are Airbnb property owners, individual hotels and major chains like Hilton, Accor, etc.). And these are exciting times at OTA Insight! Our mission to bring smart decision making to the hospitality industry has leveled up as we recently raised another round of funding ($80 million) and welcomed two new companies, Transparent and Kriya, to our organisation to keep evolving our product portfolio!
More products means more need for research as we continue to improve our user centered design process. So we’re looking to grow the user research team to make sure we tackle the most impactful challenges with the right solutions.
As a User Researcher you will collaborate with your fellow user researchers to best support the multi-disciplinary product teams. You’ll help them to choose the most effective research methodologies for their initiatives and dive into the most challenging/impactful projects to conduct research yourself.
As a User Researcher you will…
work closely with multiple product teams, supported by your fellow user researchers, to meet the needs of current and upcoming projects with effective user research methodologies.
apply a broad range of formative and evaluative user research methodologies (interviews, surveys, user testing, usability testing, observations, card sorting…) to highlight opportunities and validate solutions.
be in direct contact with our customers (mostly remotely lately), guiding them to open up about their experiences and processes.
leverage different data sources (internal and external, qualitative and quantitative) in a critical way to build a holistic view of our customer base across our product suite.
nurture a user-centered culture within the product and engineering organisation by being a voice for user research, by coaching your colleagues in conducting research and by sharing user insights.
share quality and representative user research insights throughout the organisation consistently in a way that speaks to your internal stakeholders.
look for ways to continuously evolve our research processes and tools to make user research and its insights more accessible to everyone in the organisation.

You will be a great fit for this role if you…
have 2+ years of relevant experience in user experience, ideally in B2B/B2C SaaS or enterprise software.
can present concrete examples of your user research skills within the context of a feature and/or a product, and can illustrate the impact of your research.
are flexible in your approach to user research, adhering to ‘just enough research’ by matching and adjusting research methodologies to the needs of your projects.
have experience with research tools (e.g. LogRocket, Hotjar, Maze, Dovetail, Marvin…) to conduct research and synthesise insights.
are able to learn from and collaborate with multiple departments. Knowing how to present your insights concisely in the language of your stakeholders.
uphold and champion ethical and privacy standards while conducting, analysing and documenting user research.
can work independently to proactively advocate for user research and handle accountability well.
are fluent in both written and spoken English, any other language is a plus.
